Thursday, February 26th Tommy Dirtweed Caustic Resin Modest Mouse 1. Tommy Dirtweed 2. Caustic Resin 3. Modest Mouse February 26, 2004: The fourth night of the Up Records Tenth Anniversary week of concerts, Modest Mouse headlined a show featuring Caustic Resin, and Tommy Dirtweed. Tommy Dirtweed is led by Tom Romich, who is a founding member of Caustic Resin and played with CR as well at the show. The Caustic Resin lineup featured Tom, Brett Netson, and Pat Perkins, and together they make up the "original" original Caustic lineup. James Dillion played in the bad for most of its existence, but these three were the founders. Modest Mouse featured Isaac and Eric, and Ben from Helio Sequence playing the drums. Dann Gallucci played keyboards and things. Throughout the week we were having the bands all sign the concert posters, which we are going to auction to raise more money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. But tonight one of the signed posters disappeared, and then when we got a new one signed by everyone to replace it, that one also disappeared as we loaded up all of the equipment. Whoever made the posters disappear really did our cause a disservice and it was the only blemish on the entire week of celebration, reunion, and happiness. |
