| Originally hailing from two very different parts of the country, Illinois and Texas, Starla and Julio met up in Seattle and decided to start a band together with Starla playing guitar and singing and Julio handling the drums (even though she did not know how to play at the time) as well as adding other instrumentation here and there, most notably the Clarinet. After working together for a couple of years they decided to record what became On The One. Before Up could get a hold of it, our friend Brian over at RxRemedy put it out in 1998. The girls then started working on their next record, My Pleasure, which was released in 2000 on Up. Due to surgery and illness the girls have never really gotten it together to tour extensively. They are truly SICK bees. But some great new material is forthcoming in May 2005, as they release an EP entitled "The Marina Album", with a new full length not far behind! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
