 Bio

Juned (pronounced "JUNE-d") formed in the spring of 1993 from the aftermath of two Seattle bands, Kill Sybil and Common Language. Although there had been a few line up changes, the core band consisted of Dale Balenseifen and Claudia Groom both on guitars and vocals, Leslie Hardy (who was also a member of Hole for a while, and later went on to add her immeasurable talents to Love as Laughter as well as The Murder City Devils) on bass, and Lenny Rennalls on drums. The quartet of intelligent, witty and stunning women combined lush guitars, dreamy taunting vocals, haunting slide guitar, and an incredibly solid rhythm section to create the trademark sound found on their first release. After two years of nearly constant touring, they went back in the studio to record again, this time with a new strength and command to create the undeniable masterpiece, Every Night For You. Right at this point it looked like all of the stars had lined up for these ladies to take the world by storm. They were getting amazing press and were going back on the road by themselves following the tour they had finished with Dinosaur Jr. However, it was not to be - as personality conflicts that had been building for several months came to a head right around the time they hit San Francisco, and they decided to call it quits, breaking quite a few hearts...
